Everything is settled now for my new apartment in Orléans, finally. It has been a long and tiring process, so it feels good to finally have all my stuff in one place and be able to sleep comfortably knowing that I don’t have to move all of it again the next day.
The apartment is a one bedroom on the 8th floor of a high rise building near Place Dunois, which is about a 10 minute walk to the West of the center of Orléans.
The apartment is furnished with a desk, a dresser, a futon, a full kitchen and some chairs.
It even has a small balcony. The main reason I chose this apartment is because of the light.
It has a large sliding door that leads to the balcony that lets amazing light in all day long, and the kitchen also has a large window that slides open all the way. From the balcony you can see all of Orléans and its skyline defined by the many churches and cathedrals scattered throughout the city.
A nice view:
The area is very nice as well. Across the street is a large, regal-looking high school next to an Artisan Boulanger. There is a Carrefour right next to the building, and Place Dunois is filled with all kinds of shops and has an open air market on the weekends.
It’s a great place to live!
Plus, the doors have great locks:
